The second half of the booklet tells the story of his move to missionry work in Africa, his arrival and life at Mutemwa, culminating in his assassination, funeral, and the first of what would be many miracles assocted with his name.

Hornbeam

Read by: David Crystal
Audio length: 2:29:26
File format: ZIP (contains MP3 files, 28 pictures)
Price: £6

Hornbeam - a nickname John gave himself - is a short biography compiled by the Memorial Society in 2019, and reprinted in 2023. It provides a much more detailed account of the events in John's life than in A Saint for Our Time, especially of the difficulties he faced during his time at Mutemwa, and of the events leading up to his death. There are numerous anecdotes and reminiscences from people who knew him. One file contains the whole book; others are of the individual chapters, for ease of reference. (If you already have the booklet, the long chapters there on Africa and Mutemwa have been divided into sections, for ease of listening.) There is also a photo file containing the pictures used in the booklet, labelled in relation to each chapter.
